The Girl made me french toast with strawberries on top for breakfast. It was the last of last summers frozen strawberries.
Luckily these will be ready in about about 6 weeks or so I hope!
The baby chicks are babies no longer. They are getting HUGE. Black Fatty still thinks she is a parrot and likes to sit atop the girl who think she’s a bird’s shoulder. It’s kinda cute and weird all at the same time.
And the raspberry patch. Holy Crackers! What’s happening over there? About 3 weeks ago I separated the canes into 7 neat and tidy rows.
Now look at them. It’s a jungle in there. So now I have to decide if I want to hack away at them again or just leave them as they are. I want as many berries as possible this year so I’m kinda thinking I should just leave them as they are, but is that a good idea or not? Will they get enough sun? Do the berries need a lot of sun to ripen? Someone help me out on this one please.
I also planted batch #1 of the green beans.
Oh and stop the presses. The handsome husband made dinner. HE. MADE .DINNER. Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. I suggested that he make dinner EVERY Sunday. And you know what he said? “Okay. I’d like that. I’ll do it. I’ll make dinner on Sundays from now on.” This coming from the man who cooks maybe, maybe once a year. Holy Crap. Why didn’t I suggest that 15 years ago?
