Make 12 Totally British Recipes In The AGA.
The sticky toffee pudding is still my favorite British recipe I’ve made this year. Have you tried it yet? If not, you totally should!
British recipes I’ve made in the AGA so far:
Turn The Craft Room Into a Proper Studio Space
I finally finished painting the craft room and have been working down in the basement while we wait for new flooring. I am really liking the smaller {much more organized} feeling of the space too.
Who knows, maybe the basement is really where the craft room should be.
Changes I plan on making to the space:
Rip out the old gross carpetand replace it with pine floors {the HH wants carpet}Fresh paintA proper light fixture- New serger
New work table{I bought 3!}A sitting area with a spot to hook
Hook 100 Rugs {59 of 100 done so far}
I am currently working on rug #60 and I have plans to turn it into a pillow when I am finished.

Revisit An Old Friend.
I’m working on it! I’m nearly there. I’m just waiting for 1 more thing to arrive.
Grow 1,000 Pounds of Vegetables In The Religious Family Sized Garden FAIL
I gave up growing vegetables in the religious family sized garden for the year and have been concentrating on the kitchen garden instead.
All the fall vegetables have been planted {kale, chard, broccoli, leeks, beets} and so now we wait. And hope that we don’t get an early frost.
Empty The Canning Cupboard / Fill The Canning Cupboard
I was thinking about canning a batch of the apple pie filling I made last year because it was SO GOOD… But I’m not sure if I break out all the canning equipment for just a single canning session. I’ve still got a few more weeks to decide though so we’ll see.
Make $500 Selling Plants, Flowers or Vegetables {I’ve made $92 so far.}
I don’t have any plants left to sell {actually, I suppose I could sell some leeks and chives} but the local nursery has over 17k mums to sell. 😉

{8} 6-packs of corn @ $3 each = $24.00

Goals already accomplished 2023:
Go On A Solo Adventure. Done
A solo adventure to Fair Isle. I don’t think I could have picked a more unique, isolated and cozy spot to spend a few weeks. I’m already dreaming of going back.
Take An Adult Education Class Done
The Girl and I took a 3 day British Baking Classics course at King Arthur Flour in Norwich, Vermont and had a good time. My favorite thing we made was the sticky toffee pudding.
Set Aside 200 Items For A Yard Sale DONE!
The yard sale was a great success! The Duck Lady and I were both able to get rid of a lot of items we didn’t want and as an added bonus, I only had 1 box of stuff to drop off at the thrift store. Yee-Haw!
How about YOU? How are you coming along with your goals for this year?

Mel says
It was a harrowing start to this week because of what my doctor had told me the previous week, but through some miracle, I do NOT have cancer. I have a completely benign mass that happens to look just like cancer on an ultrasound in rare cases. It was several more days before we could rule out that I’d need surgery, but I got the all-clear on that Friday. We’re still catching our breath after that rollercoaster but are grateful for all the well wishes and sincerely hoping everyone else is doing okay too.
Tracey says
