17 Things I Want To Do In 2023 – Week 33 of 52
Earn $1,493.04 {Last Year’s Grocery Expenses} Selling Totally Random Things Online
Yesterday while I was out on a walk with Lucy I spotted the prettiest yellow seed heads. And I HAD to have a few. 😉 Now I’m wondering if I should go back and get a basketful and try to sell them on Etsy.
There are also a ton of rosehips to be had too {I’ve used rose hips in my potpourri mixes before}. But I’m not sure those would go for much. I’ll have to do some research first.
No movement on T-Rex.

Grow 1,000 Pounds of Vegetables In The Religious Family Sized Garden FAIL
We spotted a little roadside stand last week while we were out and about and even though my big garden was a dud this summer, it looks like a few other people did okay.
Also, it was nice to see that a small basket of tomatoes was priced well {$2.00} too.
Empty The Canning Cupboard / Fill The Canning Cupboard
The canning cupboard is looking pretty slim these days. Still plenty of jam though, so I think we’ll have enough to get us through to next summer.
Make $500 Selling Plants, Flowers or Vegetables {I made $95} FAIL
Even though I’ve officially decided to throw in the towel on this goal for the year, I am always on the hunt for new ideas for next year. Kelp cubes! Who knew this was a thing? Seriously, 8 kelp cubes for $6.99. What a racket.

Goals already accomplished 2023:
Go On A Solo Adventure. Done
A solo adventure to Fair Isle. I don’t think I could have picked a more unique, isolated and cozy spot to spend a few weeks. I’m already dreaming of going back.
Take An Adult Education Class Done
The Girl and I took a 3 day British Baking Classics course at King Arthur Flour in Norwich, Vermont and had a good time. My favorite thing we made was the sticky toffee pudding.
Set Aside 200 Items For A Yard Sale DONE!
The yard sale was a great success! The Duck Lady and I were both able to get rid of a lot of items we didn’t want and as an added bonus, I only had 1 box of stuff to drop off at the thrift store. Yee-Haw!
How about YOU? How are you coming along with your goals for this year?

Hello,
I just got back from a trip to Shetland. I stayed on mainland in Tingwall and did a day trip to the island of Unst. At one point, I saw Fair Isle in the distance. I thought of you.

Love the little piggies, going to look.
Happy Fall.

On Facebook, people are always looking to buy rosehips. They seem to want them on the stems to hang them from their pegracks. A very primitive look.
