This is by far the best chocolate ice cream I have ever taste. It even beats Haagen Daz in my opinion. My family practically flips out every time I make it.
The Best Chocolate Ice Cream Recipe

2/3 cup cocoa powder
6 fresh egg yolks, beaten
4 cups heavy whipping cream
1 1/3 cups milk {half and half}
Instructions
Combine egg yolks, sugar, cocoa powder and milk in a double boiler over medium heat until the mixture coats the back of spoon {about 5-7 minutes}. DO NOT BOIL.

Pour into ice cream maker and follow manufacturer’s instructions.
Notes
Enjoy!
A few years ago I received the KitchenAid Ice Cream Maker Attachment as a gift, and I just love it to bits. I keep the freezer bowl in the freezer when it’s not in use, that way, we can whip up a batch of ice cream when ever we’re in the mood.

Low fat chocolate ice cream
1 can eagle brand condensed milk, 1 12 oz. container cool whip & low fat chocolate milk (about 1/2 gallon). Freeze in regular electric 5qt. ice cream freezer. So easy and so good!!!

Do you mean half and half when you say combine with milk? There isn’t milk listed in the ingredients, but it is in the directions.

How much will it make?

Do you whip the whipping cream furs before you put into the cooled mixture or just pour in?
I would love to make this ice cream. Thank you!
Mavis Butterfield says
No. You do not whip the whipping cream first. Just pour it in.
