Have you heard of these? Well don’t feel bad… I hadn’t either…
Until about 2 weeks ago… When the Handsome Husband yelled from another room “Hey, come here… check this out” What is it? “Come here… you should make these.” I vaguely remember glancing at the picture and I soon forgot about them. Most likely because the word “cupcake” was involved. Mavis + Cupcakes = Burn Out.
Then, 2 days ago I received an email from none other than the Handsome Husband. There was no greeting, No Hey Mavalicious how’s your day going. Nope, nothing like that. Just a link to a recipe for these stinkin lasagna cupcakes.
So I finally caved in and made them. Only to shut him up. Because really, a husband sending his wife a recipe, that’s weird. Guys just don’t do that.
Basically you are going to pull out your super crusty 10-year-old muffin pan, place 1 wonton wrapper per muffin hole (?) area(?) circle (?) and place about a teaspoon of mozzarella cheese, pasta sauce (I added ground meat to my sauce) ricotta cheese and then Parmesan cheese in the center.
Gently press down and cover with a second wonton wrapper and repeat.
Make sure you save a little extra mozzarella to sprinkle on top.
Bake for about 15-18 minutes at 350 degrees until golden brown. Let cool about 5 minutes and carefully remove from the pan.
Serve, then ask yourself “Why haven’t I made these before?” They were delicious! A perfect 10 if you ask me.

My mouth is watering! These look so delicious (and simple — even better). My boyfriend actually sends me recipes all the time . . . but I think that’s mainly because he wants to make things more than I do! He’s the cook ’round these parts. I’m the baker. And I’m perfectly fine with that arrangement. 🙂

You’re lucky your boyfriend cooks… I prefer baking myself too 🙂

Those look really good! I think my family would like them, too.. Maybe if the weather cools some and I can actually think about turning on the oven, I’ll give them a try!

Figgs… this is a perfect “man food”… they will love it.

Those look great! Going in my “recipes for a party” file.

Wondering if you could use lasagna noodles in place of wonton?a
Mavis says
It might. I don’t know. Try and it let me know.

Maybe you have this under desserts? But bake the wonton shells to make them crispy – then add in a spoonful of icecream and voila! A totally satisfying yet not waist-line-expanding (assuming you only bake 1-2 per person) treat!
