Reader Anita sent me a few photos of her GORGEOUS garden in Maine. Well, technically, I think it’s her husband Al who does most of the work, but hey, behind every man is a good woman… who waters the plants while he is away. Right?
If you ask me, it appears Al and Anita are a couple of rock stars when it comes to gardening. They have several pallet gardens, raised beds, oodles of tomatoes growing in containers, a potato tower and a bean teepee to boot! And, if you look closely, you’ll notice two black composters in the background too.
Hey Al, Anita tells me you have a pretty awesome chicken coop as well. Care to send in a few pictures of you and your creation? I bet everyone would LOVE to see what you’ve been up to.
*If you have a garden, and want to be featured here on onehundreddollarsamonth.com, then send in your photos to onehundredollarsamonth {at} gmail.com, along with a brief description of where you are and what you are growing and I will try and get them posted.
If you are new to gardening or just want to read how others are farming, check out the book Mini Farming: Self-Sufficiency on 1/4 Acre by Brett L Markham. Amazon currently has it on sale for $10.99 and the book is pretty darn awesome if you ask me.
