When it comes to decorating a front porch for Christmas, I think less is more. A few simple greens and a splash of red here and there are all you need.
What do you think? How do YOU decorate your front porch for Christmas? Do you go all out, or just add a little bling here and there?

P.S. I think the top picture is my favorite.

Aside from a wreath and some outside house lights? No. Most of those seem like TOO much decorating to me. I’m not a retail store trying to push product, after all. The one with the pineapples is probably the closest I’d ever come to one of these decorated porches.

I’d be afraid the birds would attack the pineapples. LOL.

Having grown up in New England (Massachusetts) I like the last one. Very nostalgic !!

Our front door is subject to canyon winds, so if it isn’t pinned down, we can’t have it. We have icicle lights on the gable of the porch, and greenery with lights around the columns on the porch. I kind of like #4. I would love to have lighted evergreen topiaries on either side of my front door, but that is impossible. So I am growing dwarf alberta spruce on either side of my front porch and will put lights on those as I turn them into topiaries. It’s as close as I can get.
