Holy Crap! When was the last time you went to the Goodwill? Take a look at these beauties. Guess how much I paid for these sweet polyester pants circa 1970?
$4.99. What a freakin’ Deal! I’m totally wearing these to someones Christmas party this year.

They will be useful around St Patrick’s day as well. Do you have a Leprechaun costume?
Helen in Meridian says
Heidi, oh she has a great Leprechaun outfit, you can betcha. She shops in it too.
Mavis says
This is true. But I only bring it out for special occasions.
Maile says
I check in almost daily, and you never fail to make me smile!
Tali says
We shop thrift store all the time…their pants are $3 each and we shop on 75% off days……I have been spending less than $100 a year on clothing my girls (even now that they are teens).
Carol says
hahaa, actually I had a pair of pants very similar to those, when I was a youngster in the 70s!
Patti says
Who takes all of your pics?? They are great! The pants……………they are really, well, I’ll just say they are really something. You are a hoot Mavis!!
Tabitha says
Yes, please. I second this question. Who has to hold the camera steady and laugh later? You crack me up.
Kathy says
Clothed my kids at the Goodwill and still do now. Don’t get up there as much but what deals can be found there! And at the Salvation Army thrift store and Volunteers of America. I got a sweet apothecary chest that I keep my crystals and stones in at the VOA.
Tina says
Oh my. Thanks for the giggle :}

I LOVE THOSE PANTS!!! I love thrift stores really hard! I replaced my entire wardrobe – and my wardrobe is now twice the size of what it was – for less than $200. Including close to 20 skirts and several pairs of shoes. It takes longer to shop at a thrift store, but I make ONE trip that takes an hour or two and come home with at least 2 or 3 things if not several more and I rarely spend more than $10. Shopping at malls takes hours and I’m lucky if I ever find a thing. Good Will, Salvation Army and the like are the best!
Ashley says
Hilarious! Your kids must be great sports, lol!
Brenda says
Awesome, I love it!
Chelsea says
Goodwill is honestly sometimes too expensive for me. I go to the Goodwill Outlet store in Seattle. Its tons of blue blins filled with everything you could ever want, and everything is priced by the pound. So home goods are .49 per pound, shoes are 1.09 per pound and so on.
Chelsea says
*bins not blins lol
Helen in Meridian says
Did you get a Christmas Sweater too? I have a collection of Nice xmas sweaters. Wore one to a luncheon last year, and someone said I saw your sweater on the Today Shows Ugly Christmas Sweater Party today. I was offended, but see the humor. Portland used to have an annual Polyester Leasure Suit Wearing Society of America Prom.
Mavis says
I doooooo! 🙂
jenny says
Isn’t the goal NOT to have the HH think that you are totally crazy?? 😉
Brenda says
But, wait a minute…they’re not black!
How come no one else noticed that?!
Mavis says
The pants are considered “special occasion wear.” 🙂
Brenda says
Ahhh, I see. That explains it!
Jeri says
I think those are my mothers!
