Here are a few more pictures of the amazing gingerbread house display The Girl and I saw at the Sheraton Hotel in Seattle this past weekend. This one is titled Ariel’s Underwater Castle.
Does anyone know how old King Triton is? Look at those pecs.
The sea life below King Triton’s castle was superbly done. I really like how the artist used colored licorice sticks, fondant, and Nerds candy to create the coral and sea life below the castle.
I need to find out if any of the chefs that made these gingerbread houses will be back next year. Because if they need a candy taste tester, I would totally be up for the job. I’ve already got the crappy British teeth, so they way I see it, I’d be a perfect candidate.
Oh Ariel, where is your handsome prince?
If you are a local, you can stop by the Seattle Sheraton Hotel to view the 2012 Gingerbread Village. There is a suggested donation of $5 and all proceeds benefit the JDRF Northwest Chapter.
