Tonight The Girl and I are watching David Vs. Monsanto. It’s a documentary about a man who goes up against the agricultural giant Monsanto when GMO seeds blow into his crops, causing Monsanto to claim proprietary rights over his crops.
I usually get pretty worked up when I watch stuff like that {and for those of you that have been asking about my stance on GMO’s, I’m definitely working on it}, so hopefully I don’t turn my relaxing Friday evening upside down.
Let me know what you think if you decide to watch it–or if you have already seen it. Did you love it? Hate it? Can’t wait to watch it over and over?

I was looking at the recipes and saw the patriotic ice cream bars and thought they looked fun to make. I clicked on the link expecting to see buy ice cream, some kind of wafer and sprinkles. I was wrong – it was MUCH easier!

okay, i’ll have to be honest – this was bleh. i’ve been on a food-docu kick lately and have seen some compelling work and this would normally make for a compelling docu – but it just falls short. it’s informative but not informative enough, the style and quality of the production would be more forgivable if not for that poor storyline. now we just have to wait for a docu maker that can give really dig deep into this issue. okay what were your thoughts? 🙂

Here’s another good one to watch- ‘A Farm for the Future’ (on Youtube). Not too much of an environmentalist rally but something that genuinely will effect us. Quite British, however, it really shows what we’re leading ourselves into! Btw, love ‘Friday Night at the Movies’, thanks Mavis!

Wrong link- sorry! Just Search it up on Youtube- ‘A Farm for the Future’.

At least watch the first 20 minutes if you don’t have time for the full hour. It’s kinda scary what these big corporations get away with.
