Unless you planted oddles of pea seeds, chances are if you are picking fresh peas from the garden, they won’t even make it into the house. Or at least that’s how it used to be at our house when are kids were younger.
What is it about fresh sugar snap peas that makes them so irresistible?
Well, if by some miracle, your peas do make it inside, this simple {and I do mean simple} recipe for sugar snap peas with garlic, makes a great side dish.
Ingredients
2 cups sugar snap peas
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon sesame seeds {optional}
salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Blanch sugar snap peas and shock in cold water. Remove the little threads from the pea pods and sauté in olive oil with garlic and salt and pepper for about 2 – 3 minutes and sprinkle sesame seeds over the top.

These look so good! Our peas are still a ways from picking, but I’ll remember this for when we’re harvesting them.

Going to make Old Fashioned Strawberry Ice Cream. The recipe uses fresh uncooked eggs. I that right?
