Costco $99.76
You know what this means right? I’m getting ready to take a trip soon and the boys will be left home alone to fend for themselves. It used to be that I could count on them to pop a freezer meal in the oven but the past couple of years have their cooking {reheating} abilities on the decline.
Remember last summer when I was back east for 6 weeks and the HH lost 8 pounds? Ya. So this time around I’ve stocked the fridge with REALLY EASY stuff. Burrito bowls, chicken skewers, salami and cheese packs {because c’mon, slicing cheese would be just too difficult for them} stuff for ham sandwiches, their favorite tapioca pudding, string cheese and a few other treats as well. There is also cereal in the cupboard and I’ll pull out the bags of chips I’ve been hiding right before I go and put the tubs of yogurt on display in the fridge. {All the yummies are currently hidden in the vegetable crispers in plastic grocery sacks so they can’t see it.
Bottom line… They’ll survive. Lucy will get extra bites of cheese and The Girl and I will live off pastries. Life will be grand.
With the time change {and after a long afternoon nap} I popped by Costco and picked up a pizza and salad for dinner and the price was $15.16. We don’t get take out very often, but when we do it usually seems to be pizza or chicken teriyaki.
I posted a little video on Facebook so you could watch and see just how crazy she is about getting every last crumb. And just in case you were wondering… Lucy’s pizza box of goodness is currently sitting on our bedroom floor. She hauled it there and if I had to guess, she’ll probably roll herself around in the box later this afternoon. Eau de Pizza. It’s the scent all the puggles are wearing these days. 😉
Have a great monday everyone,
~Mavis

Boom chick-a-pop! Love that stuff. My Grand daughter loves it too. Your pile does not look too bad…could be a lot worse junk food wise. 🙂

Mavis, I loved the video of Lucy.
I am not going to post a direct link, but go to youtube and search for “retirees knit sweaters for chickens.” There are several videos!! OMG.
