5 Things I’m Currently In Love With – The internet. What would we do without it?
Well, if I lived on a small island with trees for firewood and I liked seafood and I was totally self-sufficient, I wouldn’t need it. But… Because I don’t, I do find myself from time to time wasting time on the internet and finding things I didn’t know I needed.
For instance, handmade rubber stamps. If you’ve ordered anything from my Etsy shop in the last few weeks then you know what I am talking about. I am currently obsessed with rubber stamps. Including handmade ones.
Etsy seller StudioTokek was kind enough to create this “Made in Maine” rubber stamp for me and I absolutely LOVE it. I’ve been using this stamp {along with a few others} to stamp my packages before they head out the door. And I’m having a blast!
Gaelic Storm is coming to Maine! How exciting is that? We saw them in concert 15 {?} years ago and had a great time. I think we should go again.
I spotted this card from Etsy seller QuirkyCardCompany the other day and thought it was hilarious. I’ve been trying to figure out who I could send it to.
Who knew a power cord could be so exciting? Conway Electric has managed to make plugging in fun again. I think I’m going to have to get one.
Ahh corduroys. Did you wear them as a kid? I don’t know what it is about corduroys that I love but I spotted these gorgeous olive colored corduroys the other day and have been swooning ever since. But the price tag. Eeek!
Do you think there is such a thing as dress overalls? I mean, people will pay big bucks for a fancy dress… Couldn’t one splurge on a fancy pair of overalls? Hmmm.
Have you found anything cool on the internet lately? Do tell.

Gaelic Storm! We saw them in Seattle some 15 years ago, too, at the Tractor Tavern! How funny that you were probably there. Big fans, enjoy!

Overalls are perfect for gardening! No more adjusting your jeans every time you stand back up from bending over.

I read the group as Garlic Storm, which made me immediately like them. Gaelic Storm is a good name but not as much fun and wondering what a garlic storm would sound like!

Wow, I just bought Duluth Gardening overalls three and thought they were spendy even one sale but I love them but those were very spendy. BTW their armachillo underwear are just the best in the heat no joke..

I bought a pair of cotton overalls in the largest size available on Amazon a year ago and then turned them into a jumper. Super cute, and you don’t have to get undressed to use the facilities with it being a dress.

I hope this is okay to share here, Mavis. This doesn’t really have anything to do with this post, but I see Aldi has a drop-over greenhouse this week. It looks like plastic that fits over a shelf unit. I don’t think there is a way to share a photo here, but it’s in this week’s ad. Have any of you used anything like that? If so, I would love to hear a review or thoughts anyone has about it. While I’m on the subject of gardening, how do you keep squirrels and chipmunks out of your plants? Cayenne? Thanks!

I have. The shelving unit held up well but the plastic cover was quick to disintegrate in one season. I live in the South so your miles may vary, the sun eats everything plastic down here.

Thank you, Christie! I’m in Alabama, so maybe I’ll pass on it. Thank you for responding and for the information.
