This New Year’s Eve is a little different than the ones the HH and I have celebrated together in years past. I’m pretty sure we’ll be doing the same thing we’ve always done, and that’s make a big platter of pickety bits, watch a movie and be fast asleep by 9 pm. What can I say? Some people like to party, and others, well, they just like to go to bed early. 😉 But I was thinking of doing these 7 Appetizer Recipes for New Year’s Eve.
So if you’re looking for something special to make for your New Year’s Eve celebration tonight, here are a few of our favorites.
2021. Bring it on!

Must Try 7 Appetizer Recipes for New Year’s Eve
Easy Caprese Skewers – Insanely simple and satisfying to make. Just seeing all those little skewers all lined up in a neat little row makes my heart happy.
Bacon Jalapeno Cheese Ball Recipe – Bacon, jalapenos and cheese. Need I say more? And as an added bonus, if you have any extras this cheese ball stores really well in the fridge for a few days.
Smoked Salmon Spread – My husband LOVES this recipe! Very addicting and 10 million and 12 times better than plain old chips and dip. This is another one that stores well for a few days in the fridge.
Cheesy Pull Apart Bread – Carbs are you friends, at least in moderation. Plus the leftovers are great the next day with a bowl of soup.
Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts – Incredibly addicting and makes you want to wear a pant suit and play 70’s music.
Baked Brie in Puff Pastry with Preserves – You can never go wrong with a classic.
Sheet Pan Party Nachos – Because who doesn’t love nachos? {Weirdos, that’s who!}

Soy Sauce, 1 can of whole water chestnuts, sugar, bacon cut in to thirds.
Place water chestnuts in dish of soy sauce for 20 minutes. Roll chestnut in sugar, wrap with piece of bacon secured with toothpick. broil in oven and watch carefully. Turn once. Enjoy and don’t burn your tongue.

I wanted to laugh out loud when I saw your comment about pant suits and 70s music with your bacon wrapped water chestnuts. Late 60s early 70s, I was a college kid helping my mom make hors d’oeuvres for the cocktail parties she and dad hosted for his friends from work. Chicken livers, water chestnuts, olives…wrap it in bacon and it’s time to PARTY.
