Pi Day {3/14} is this coming Monday and well, you know me, I LOVE pie so I think it’s the perfect excuse opportunity reason to bake a pie this weekend. I still haven’t decided yet if I’m going to try a new recipe, or go with one of my favorites, but in case you’re wondering what to make this Sunday, I thought I’d give you a few suggestions. And decided on making Delicious Pies for Pi Day.
Because seriously, pie makes everything better. Especially when it’s paired with a cup of tea. ๐
Hereโs to a delicious and sugar filled weekend full of Delicious Pies for Pi Day!
~Mavis
Banoffee Pie: Bananas, cream, caramel sauce and a wee bit of toffee!
Zoรซ’s Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie Recipe: Absolute perfection.
Homemade Chocolate Cream Pie: Homemade chocolate pudding, butter and chocolate wafer cookies. Seriously, what’s not to love?
Sour cherry pie: You can almost always find sour cherries in the freezer section at the grocery store.
Pineapple Buttermilk Pie: This is my favorite pie to serve with a ham dinner.
Rhubarb Pineapple Pie: A winning combination! Plus, you probably have some rhubarb sitting in your freezer you need to use up.
Blueberry Pie: You can never go wrong with a classic. This pie is even better with tiny wild Maine blueberries.
Frito Pie Casserole. The best savory pie on the planet! I’m totally making this for linner this Sunday. ๐

My husband’s 60th birthday is Sunday the 13th, and he’s trying to decide between banana cream pie, and chocolate pie. Maybe we’ll do one for his birthday and one for Pi day! Totally forgot about that, but sounds like the prefect solution. ๐

I love chili Frito pie. I’ve never found a canned chili that I like but this brand sounds like a good one. I’m upping my pantry so I just ordered a case. Thank you for recommending this brand of canned chili.

I have my Mothers Chocolate Cream Pie recipe and my grandmothers Buttermilk Pie recipe. Grandma would put coconut in hers as well. Sometimes she used crushed and drained pineapple, too. Sometimes, just plain. I loved their pies. So so good.
