Ok, so now that I’ve watched Sixteen Candles, I’m on a Molly Ringwald AND John Hughes obsession…which is lucky for me, because she is in a lot of his movies. Tonight I’m watching Pretty in Pink. I watched it last year for the first time in ages, and now I can’t get enough. It’s my favorite way to relive those awkward 80’s memories: in my pj’s and a million years actually being in the decade again :).
Sidenote: There can’t be a single person out there who can’t immediately sing OMD’s “If You Leave,” all because of this movie. Try not to sing it right now, I dare you.
Peace out Girl Scouts & have yourself a great weekend,
~Mavis

I love the Molly Ringwald movies and watch them whenever I see them on TV.
Have you seen Enchanted April? Check reviews if you haven’t. I think you might like it, but it’s a little on the quiet side. I like watching it when I really need to unplug (and can’t just fly off to Italy).

Cute name for the bento box. But I think Molly actually brought sushi in her bento box. I remember I was like 15 and had no idea what sushi was. Pretty in Pink was I believe the best of the John Hughes, Molly Ringwald trilogy. He is still making and producing movies, you can sometime identify them by the use of new wave 80’s music. Tootles

John Hughes sadly died too young in 2009. I agree with everyone that his movies are.the.best, with Pretty in Pink my absolute favorite. No one will watch it with me because I can’t stop speaking all the lines.
