These brownies, might just be one of the reasons why I have such crappy British teeth. Consider yourself warned… there are 2 1/4 cups of sugar in this recipe, but they are totally worth it if you ask me. 😉 Butter + Sugar = LOVE. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!
Ingredients
2 1/4 sticks unsalted butter
2 1/4 cups sugar
5 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3/4 cup flour
3/4 cup baking cocoa powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a 13 x 9 baking pan with parchment paper. Set aside.
In a saucepan melt the butter and sugar over low heat. Transfer the butter and sugar to a mixing bowl and slow beat in the eggs one at a time. Add vanilla and stir. Sift the flor, cocoa powder and salt together and add to the mixture. Mix gently then fold in chocolate chips. Pot batter into lined pan and bake for 25-28 minutes. Do not over bake.
Cool, slice and EAT!!! These brownies freeze beautifully. 🙂

I love it that there is a Planet Fitness advertisement directly under your Chocolate Chip Brownie recipe with 2 1/2 cups of sugar and a bunch of butter. LOL!

Thanks for the recipe, Mavis. Might make some now (and make my husband take most of them to work tomorrow so I don’t eat them all).

Ha! I do that too sometimes. 😉
