Every once in a while I’m in the mood for a super sappy romantic comedy. Yep, I can hardly believe I admitted it to you myself, but there it is. Kate and Leopold is one of my stand-bys–maybe it’s because I am a sap for the whole idea that people were actually more gentile in the 19th century, and if they did happen to travel through time, they would be able to sweep us off of our feet? In case you haven’t heard of it, it’s about a Duke that travels through time from the 19th century to the 21st century, only to land in a busy Manhattan woman’s life.
Let me know what you think if you decide to watch it–or if you have already seen it.
Peace out Girl Scouts & have yourself a great weekend,
~Mavis

I loved ‘Kate and Leopold’… I guess that makes me a total sap. In my defence, Hugh Jackman is hard to pass up in any guise – even Wolverine. Plus, he’s an Aussie… 🙂
Have you added ‘Four Horseman’ to your documentary list yet? You can watch the whole thing on YouTube. Awesome. Scary. And, kind of inspiring.

I love this movie! It is probably absurd to think that men of the past would be so gallant and respectful but Hugh Jackman is so gorgeous you want to believe it! This is a cute and fun movie- one of my absolute favorites. Romance, comedy, time travel, and Hugh Jackman- what is not to like?

Love this movie and love romances….which is why I can watch Pride and Prejudice (both the mini series with Colin Firth and the one with Mathew MacFadyen) every time it is on tv. My long suffering husband just cannot understand how I can watch the same movies over and over again…I say hey! I love a happy ending!!! Love Actually is pretty good, too.
