When you don’t have a huge assortment of clothing… is makes keeping your closet organized all the time EASY PEASY. 😉
2. Run, walk or crawl a Marathon, half marathon, 10k, and 5k race this year.
I suppose I should start training for the half marathon that’s at the end of the month.
3. Remodel our Master Bathroom, Master Closet and Monkey Boy’s Bathroom. Done.
4. Finish Every Room in Our House.
I am still looking for a few things… a round dining room table and chairs, an end table for the family room, something large to hang on the wall in the family room, a desk for the guest bedroom and a pair of curtains for the dining room. Oh, and blinds for the windows. But other than those things… I am almost done.
5. Turn Spare Bedroom into a Cozy Home Office Space for myself. Done. I stole the HH’s office instead and Lucy claimed the guest bedroom.
6. Create a Vegetable Garden. Done!
I can’t even tell you how excited I am. There are zucchini to harvest, and tomatoes are popping up EVERYWHERE. I love this time of year {and all the homegrown goodness that comes along with it}.
7. Build a Path into the Hillside for Easy Access to the Upper Garden. Done! {We built a fence instead}
8. Limit my personal spending to $100 a month.
I picked up a striped shirt at the Gap on summer clearance sale for $5.50 plus tax while I was in Seattle this week. The shirt was such a good deal I thought about buying a few more, but in the end I talked myself out of buying anything else because really, I have enough t-shirts already.
So far in July I have spent $5.92
In June I spent $6.00.
In May I spent $26.50.
In April I Spent $18.46.
In March I Spent $42.44.
In February I Spent $32.52
In January I Spent $84.33
9. Purge… Weekly. Find 10 things each week to donate to the thrift store. Done.
I have gone well over the 520 items I was hoping to get rid of this year either by donating them to the thrift store or placing items in my garage sale pile. Mission accomplished.
10. Read 1 book a week.
I meant to start reading Life From Scratch: A Memoir of Food, Family, and Forgiveness last week but only started reading the book yesterday. So far so good, I like it.
11. Slow Down. – Do one thing for myself each week.
I napped, went to museums, a baseball game and ate pastries. I’d say that was a good week.
12. Canning
The canning pantry is filling up! Weeeeee.
Did you set any goals for this year? If so, how are they coming along?

Mavis,
#4- why not do your DIY Canvas Art project again? I thought the last one was pretty cool. And you could totally customize the size, subject matter, colors, etc. or hook something fabulous? Would be a big project, but since you have proven you are totally capable of taking on huge projects, I’m sure you could do it!
