I went to see Saving Mr. Banks in the theater {which I rarely do} but I loved it so much, I don’t mind watching it again. The Girl loved it, too. In fact, everyone I talked to about this movie, which tells the backstory of the author of Mary Poppins and how Mary Poppins came to be, has loved it. The storyline, the music. It’s just, well, magical. And Emma Thompson? HELLO, she did an amazing job.
Let me know what you think if you decide to watch it–or if you have already seen it.
Peace out Girl Scouts & have yourself a great weekend,
~Mavis

Saw it on Christmas Day when it was first released! Loved it then, love it now, bought the DVD.
I had already cast Tom Hanks, in my mind, as Walt and he did not disappoint! I thought the entire cast was excellent including Colin Farrell who some thought was miscast. I disagree.

i enjoyed the movie but wish it was more historically accurate.
