This past week I was able to tag along on a business trip the HH took to San Francisco. Although San Francisco is a nice city packed with lots of sights to see…. My favorite thing to do when we are in the area is to rent a car and head to the Napa Valley. And every single time we are there…. we make a point to stop at the Oakville Grocery for a snack.
The first time we visited the store {I think I’ve been there 5 times now} I was fascinated with all the prepared foods and specialty jams. But that’s so common nowadays that the novelty of it all has worn off.
But this time around parked alongside of the store were some brand spankin’ new porta potties!! Have you ever seen a porta potty like this?
Look at all that space!!!
Seriously.
If you were the type of person who made a habit of looting rolls of toilet paper from public bathrooms this place would be heaven on earth. Aren’t they worried someone is going to walk off with that snazzy toilet paper holder?
I mean LOOK AT THAT FLOOR! It’s nicer than some homes I’ve been in.
Maybe I’m getting old but this is the nicest porta potty I’ve ever been in. It kind of puts all those blue honey buckets we’ve all had to endure at our kids sporting events to shame.

I’ve seen some of these at big events. When the “restroom” has the only public-access air conditioning for a couple of miles in 90 plus degree heat, this is the only portable toilet where people actually want to hang out!

I’ve seen these a nicer barn facilities when they are hosting a large rated horse show. Horse shows provide an interestingly wide range of roughing it to luxury amenities. I’ve slept in the back of a pick up truck and at a fancy casino with a full arena, grand stands, and stalls in it’s basement. Good times!

I just wish all porta potties were this nice!
On a side note, my husband is addicted to those chips- he calls them crack chips

They are the best chips ever!!!

The first time I saw one of these was at a wedding I attended. I don’t use porta potties, but I had no problem using that one. I was seriously impressed. That’s saying something.

I just experienced one of these trailer potties last weekend here: https://www.canalsidebuffalo.com/ It was so much better than a typical pot a potty. It even had running water (a sink!) and paper towels. Start planning your next east coast road trip to downtown Buffalo (we have tons of garden tours!).

I hate hate hate porta potties… I will hold it until I’m bursting and then hold my breath the whole time! Every porta potty needs to be upgraded to these!

oakville grocery must be renovating or something–I’ve never seen the porta potty there but they’ve always had restrooms open at their neighboring building.
