The Imitation Game is on the menu tonight. I found it free on Netflix and it had a great rating. I’m a big Benedict Cumberbatch fan, so I suspect I’m going to love it!
It’s about Alan Turing, a real-life war hero and pioneer of modern-day computing, who saves millions of lives by cracking Germany’s so-called unbreakable code during WWII. Looks fascinating.
Let me know what you think if you decide to watch it–or what you thought if you have already seen it.
Peace out Girl Scouts & have yourself a great weekend,

Practical Parsimony says
I wonder how they handled his suicide over his homosexuality. Let us know. He is the “Turing” of the Turing machine.
Linda says
I have seen it twice.i really thought it was a very thought provoking movie. Very sad.
Suzan says
I found this movie to be thought provoking and sad. I bought it.
Heidi says
The movie was good, but this is not a factual representation. It’s unfortunate that they do this, because I don think that people know this. Turing was a member of a team, and not the rogue genius that he is made out to be.
Renay says
Exactly. Lots of movies about actual events play fast and loose with the facts. It’s too bad because we could use some factual movies out there in movie land! I did enjoy the movie – the sets, clothes, music.

I watched this movie a while back and liked it. A colleague also suggested that I watch The Bletchley Circle series (also on Netflix)…and I loved it!
Lauren says
