The beauty of being a blogger is that I have a platform to share whatever noteworthy topic that pops into my head. Sometimes, the crazy stories I come across on the inter-web or the random thoughts that pop into my mind aren’t really noteworthy at all {on their own}. They usually make me pause, laugh, or just plain roll my eyes and I go on about my day.
Are clearly insane. So this is what the world has come to?! THIS is a trend. I’m not much for following trends. And normally, I’m not much for caring about who follows or doesn’t follow whatever the latest trend is. But this caught my eye, on account if it’s completely crazy! I mean, it’s your face, so you do you. But WHAT?! Feather eyebrows? Seriously?
Do You Know What These British Words Mean?
Reader, Donna, from Indianapolis sent in this little quiz. Of course I took it because I love all British things. I got 7 out of 12. Not too shabby, I say. Some were HARD! Give it a whirl and then let me know how you do. This definitely got me in the mood to head over the pond. London is calling!
World’s Best Smallest Cup of Coffee
Designer Lucas Zanotto was asked to create and ad for Finnish coffee company, Paulig. This is what he came up with. To brew the smallest cup of Joe in the world, he uses one bean of Kenya AA-plus Karindum coffee, “grinds” it with a nail file, drops the fine grounds into the tiniest coffee filter you’ll ever see, boils the water over a candle, and pours the dark brew into what looks like a vial. And it is so soothing and satisfying to watch for some reason.
Are you ever sitting around wondering why your cat’s scratching post is just so terribly boring? Nope? Me either! But someone clearly was, because they came up with this awesome cat scratching deck. DJ Kitty is in the house! Now he just needs two turntables and a microphone. Wicka, wicka, wicka.
And that concludes this installment of Random Goodness from Around the Web. Please make sure to leave your random responses in the comment section.

Yep, you learn something new every day. I loved the smallest coffee ever and it led me to watch some other “smallest ever” food videos. Check out the smallest Thanksgiving, including having it cooked on what appears to be a toy antique cast iron stove. My smile for today!!!

My daughter, a cosmetologist, told me about the feather things. I know it isn’t exactly like it, but all I can think of is the Capitol fashions in The Hunger Games.
I got a 9 out of 12. I need to start reading more British Crime novels!

You definitely need a trip to Blighty! Come to London and I’ll train you up in all things British!

I got 8 right–and missed a couple because I changed my mind. I think some of this comes from reading those British novels (Inspecter Lynley is the best!)

The eyebrow thing would be cool for a elaborate Halloween costume or wearable arts fashion show. It looks like you just part your eyebrows and then brush them up and down away from the part. I don’t think it’s permanent is it? To each their own … 7 out of 12. So D- maybe? 🙂

The feather eyebrows and their makeup remind me of the Hunger Games as well.
The smallest cup of coffee reminded me of when my girls were little and would make small things with Sculpy clay. Sweet memories.

The feather eyebrow girl looks like she belongs in a Dr. Seuss book!
Mavis, I don’t even know how I stumbled upon your awesome blog, but I’ve enjoyed it for some time now.

I saw this on youtube. The person who started this did it as a joke. It went downhill from there!
