I don’t believe my eyes. For the FIRST time this year, there is NO RAIN in the forecast this week. Maybe, hopefully, if I am lucky…
My 4th, YES 4th, planting of beans, cucumbers and zucchini seeds will grow.
I’ve already given up on having pumpkins & squash this year. Well, strike that, maybe I’ll plant those again too while I’m outside today.
After reading Thy Hand’s post this morning, I was reminded again of what it must of be like for people who don’t have a back up water system (read: hose), or a water source nearby. Then what? How would you be able to grow ALL your food to last you and your family an entire year? Even if you preserved plenty of extras, it most likely wouldn’t be enough to see you thru an entire year.
Then I started thinking about natural disasters and about people who typically only have a few days worth of food in their cupboard. What would they do? Hmmm. I think I’ll go water before it gets too hot.
Have a great day! I hope something is growing in your garden.
