bits and bobs: A random assortment of things; small remaining pieces and things
Pup cups. Lucy would eat one everyday if I’d let her.
More proof I am getting old and don’t understand fashion:
For the low low price of $110 you can buy a sweatshirt that looks like it got stuck in the garbage disposal. naturally distressed and has a lived-in appearance.
I found this spectacular piece of driftwood the other day and just had to bring it home. Do you see it?
Do you see the potential? As soon as I spotted it on the beach I knew exactly what it was {a giant lobster claw} and what I wanted to do with it {a life size lobster sculpture}.
Now comes the hard part, finding the rest of the pieces. I wonder how long it would take to complete?
Fact: The HH thinks I’m crazy.
My new favorite stove. Ain’t she a beauty!?
It’s made by AGA and you can get it as an induction range. Induction heat! We’ve had it once before and I really liked it. Plus, it comes in a bunch of different colors. If I can’t move to Britain, I could at least have an AGA for the kitchen, right?
HH… Are you reading this!?
Speaking of Britain, John Bray Estates has another adorable cottage for sale. Geranium cottage. Who wouldn’t want to live there!? I think the courtyard is my favorite part {although the inside is pretty awesome too}.
That’s it. That’s all I’ve got for today. The high today is supposed to be 84 degrees so I’m headed out on a walk before it gets too hot out there.
Have a great day everyone, stay cool.

Actually I see a seal, feet pointed back and gliding (swimming) toward the “bottom” of the picture. But after you told us what you saw, I can see the lobster claw too. Please show us the finished piece whenever it comes together!

Me too!!!
Jeanine says
I thought the piece of drift wood looked like a seal swimming in the water.
Deb says
Exactly what I thought!!!
Linda Sand says
Looking at the photos of that cottage I can see why someone would want to buy a house with all its furnishings. It’s perfect!
Lisa says
Definitely a seal.

Geranium Cottage is adorable! Too small for our crew to live in, but it would be a great vacation place

I see a squid! Head at bottom, facing downwards…
Mary Keen says
I think I see an octopus. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Hi Mavis, I wouldn’t buy that sweatshirt if it was 2$ at a thrift store. I don’t understand all the ripped/distressed clothing that costs a fortune. Would be great to polish my leather shoes, boots and purse though. Maybe I’m just too old?
MrsHB says
I see a squid .
Joanna says
I see a whale and a lobster claw! Nice find.
Julie Pullum says
I thought the piece of driftwood was a particularly ripe slightly squished banana lololol 🙂
Julie says
Hilarious!! The first thing that came to mind when I saw the drift wood, was a shoe last!! So I googled it….it STILL looks like a wooden shoe last!
Sue says
A severed foot in a tabi sock.
C’mon. You see it, too…

And that is why those British novels set in a village somewhere, with a pretty cottage, a gorgeous garden and family angst abounding are known as Aga Sagas
An Aga is so much more than a cooker, it is a lifestyle. And resides in the centre of the home.
Kara D Musgrave-white says
I saw the lobster claw after you said it, but the first thing I saw was a squid. You can even see his eye.
