I headed outside this afternoon to weed in front of our boxwood hedge. We usually do this about twice a year to clear the area from moss and weeds. This time around I had to remove a bunch of vinca minor which had grown up into the hedges. I also doused the plants with some Miracle Grow to green them up a bit. For some reason the boxwoods turn a yellowish green color every fall and I’m not sure why.
Since we have vinca growing down the hillside {to the left} I’ve been thinking about ordering some candytuft seeds to start indoors. I was thinking when spring rolls around, I could plant a flowing border of pink and purple flowers in front of the hedge. What do you think?
Hoping of course I’d be able to keep Black Fatty and crew out of the flower bed.
Do you think the candytuft would be too distracting, or do you think it would look nice?

I think the candytuft would look beautiful, you also add some lithodora. I’ve seen hillsides cascading with both and it’s gorgeous!! YIou don’t need seeds all you need to do is get some cuttings and stick them in the ground and they will root. You can have cutting off mine if you get to Oly. I’m sure there are closer ones to you. I have lithodora I have to keep ripping up, it was planted too close to the house.
