Yesterday we stopped by the Old Town Farmer’s Market in Wichita, Kansas for a little breakfast. Everything at the market comes from within 150 miles–pretty cool if you are trying eat local. The Girl and I settled on some croissants and enchiladas–breakfast of champions, I tell ya.
They had an awesome selection of succulents. Sadly, our car is already over-flowing with gnomes, or I might have picked one up as a souvenir.
Fresh picked local peaches? Um, yes please.
This place had boxes of specialty pastas. You could scoop it up bulk style–and they had sooo many shapes and colors to choose from.
It was so humid in Wichita, a cool limeade was pretty tempting. In the end, though, frugal Mavis beat out sweaty Mavis, and I stuck with my croissant, enchiladas, and my refillable water bottle.
I think the highlight of the entire market was this sweet dog. Her owner was there trying to sell her 14 week old puppies. Don’t you think Lucy would love a sister?
HH are you reading this? I think we might need another puppy. 😉
