After finding Lucy the Puggle Dog munching on one of our gnome ornaments, we had to move all the ornaments from the bottom of the tree towards the top so she would stop playing with them.
Yesterday we caught her standing on her hind legs trying to get a better look at a mouse ornament. Poor thing. Like a toddler, all she wants to do is play with them. 🙁

We have a four month old kitten and I’ve put off getting our xmas tree for that specific reason. I know he’s going to want to “play” with all the ornaments and it’s going to to be job keeping him away from it all day and night!

We put our tree up on an end table. We do this whenever we have a new to us pup. Technically they could still get to the ornaments but they usually just cruise past without a second thought. I’ve also discovered that the really prickly spruce type trees deter kitties. When all else fails I just pull out the plastic ornaments and put the sentimental ones in a big bowl.

Our kitty boy would climb the tree 🙂 we let him outside when he was a kitten we did not know we were not suppose to.
So when we got a tree at Christmas time he thought it was for him. He would run right up the tree and lay on the branches.
He looked so cute in the tree and we could not convince him it was not his Christmas gift. One of our dogs would open the presents under the tree I wonder if Lucy will do that?

All our dogs were curious about the tree, ornaments, etc when they were young, but outgrew it by their 3rd Christmas. Lucy’s a cutie!

We have to leave the bottom of our tree practically naked or only put dollar store ornaments down there. Our dog is kind of awkward and he does not realize his giant tail just wiped out a whole row of ornaments, lol. Total bull in a china shop.
