Wanted to say thank you for the Groupon posting today! There was an automotive escape and rescue hammer for the Miami area (I live in the Florida Keys). My husband has been telling me that we need these for the vehicle and I just keep saying (yea, yea) but truly something that is needed when I am surrounded by water everyday and drive the US1 100 mile roundtrip for work 3 x’s a week in the dark, over bridges and through the mangroves at sea level.
Also, Lucy the trouble puggle has got some catching up to do with my terrible two. I came home to the trash spread out again in the house (I forgot to put it up on the counter before leaving for work) They ate one 1/2 lb Reeses peanut butter cup, leftover spaghetti, some other food ends, etc. I scolded them, yet again and then we all went to bed in a pack and snuggled. What’ya gonna do, those little furry buggers have my heart 😉
Love your site, have been following since I was living in Belgium, moved twice and live vicariously the life of a gardner through you.

Living in Key Largo, FL and loving life! I need to get my HH to build some garden boxes for me since I should be able to grow year round here. I grew up in University Place right down by the marina so to see the pics of your garden and the scenery year round brings back memories and smiles. Keep up the great work on your site 🙂

my four Yorkies don’t ever get into anything, thank my lucky stars; but Lucy’s latest adventure sounds like our German Shepherd when she was a young puppy; my new expensive chair, my glasses, and chunks of carpet from both bedroom and LR ALL IN THE SAME DAY. The things we let our little lovelies get away with.

Mavis – I have 2 black felines that I adore. However one of them has chewed through 3 sets of headphone wires, one heating pad cord, several extension cords and the power cord to my laptop. My husband replaced the power cord and got a protective covering that is suppose to keep the cord safe from chewing animals – she already has deep teeth marks in it. Lucy may just be getting warmed up.- she is just so darn cute, though. 😉
