Wow Vicky, I would have never thought to hang photographs of eggs in my coop to inspire my hens. I think you might be on to something. With all this cold weather we’ve been having, I’m willing to try anything to get my girls to lay a few more eggs.

Vicky has some very beautiful chickens! I love all her attention to detail. I was wanting to make a banner for my coop but couldn’t figure out what material to use. Now it’s obvious. Chicken print! Loving the photo wall art as well. Vicky may have started a new trend.

My sister bought a book of chicken and egg photos, which turned out to be a folder of prints. She framed them with inexpensive (dollar store) frames and sold a few at a local chicken swap. These were left over and all featured eggs. We chuckled as we put them on the walls of the coop. I’ll try to get a photo with the girls in there, perusing their art!

That coop is amazing! Did Vicky build it herself? I’d lay eggs in there! I mean- my chickens would. lol

No, I didn’t build it, but I love it! I had purchased plans for something similar, but then we saw this just-built coop on Craig’s List and saved a lot of time (and probably money, too) by purchasing it. It’s very heavy-duty. I added a floor of 1/2″ hardware cloth, screwed to the inside (screws and big washers), covered with sand, so that predators cannot dig under. If you search for the “Wichita” style, you’ll find many options online.
