I’ve never met a kid that doesn’t love Rice Krispie treats. Who am I kidding, I love them just as much as they do. So these kid-friendly and super festive treats are the perfect addition to your 4th of July BBQ or fireworks celebration. They are crazy easy too, so you don’t have to slave away in the kitchen for hours!
Ingredients
6 tablespoons butter
8 heaping cups of mini marshmallows
12 cups Rice Krispies cereal, divided
blue and red food coloring
Directions
In large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Keeping heat on low, add marshmallows and stir constantly until completely melted. Divide marshmallow mixture evenly into 3 pans. Add blue food coloring to one pan, red to another and stir until completely blended. Add 4 cups of cereal to each pan and stir until blended.
Firmly press the different color layers of into a 9×13 baking dish coated with cooking spray, one on top of the other. I pressed blue down first, then the non-food coloring layer and then red. Red, white and blue for days!

Maybe you can try them with a blueberry sirop for blue and strawberry sirop for red?
