It’s back! And I had so much fun with it last month, I’ve decided I’m going to give away a big ole gift pack of my favorite things every. single. month. Wahooo!
Of course all my favorite things might not be your favorite things, but I suspect if you try out an item or two from the list below, you’d fall in love with them just like I have. I’ve got good taste peeps {okay, okay. I have some questionable taste too sometimes, but I promise you’ll totally love the stuff I’m giving away this month}. Check out the goods:
1. Sweet Peas in a Pod Necklace – I mean, come on. This necklace is so cute it almost hurts to look at it. I mean, cue the ooohs and ahhhs. If you have little ones you adore, you’re gonna love this {comes with 4 peas in your pod}.
2. Botanical Interests Super Sugar Snap Peas – The fake peas were nice, but these real peas are where it’s at. And would I really have a “My Favorite Things” list without including seeds from Botanical Interests? I think not.
3. Prepworks from Progressive Lettuce Keeper – This is one of the coolest inventions ever. When you’re growing a truckload of produce in your backyard, keeping it from browning and wilting before you get around to using it is always a problem. Until this genius invention. It’s awesome!
4. The Weekend Homesteader by Anna Hess- What I love most about this book is that it’s organized by month, so I have short little projects all mapped out for me all year long to keep me on track.
5. Retro Owls Printed Duct Tape – You never know when you’re going to need some retro owl duct tape is what I always say.
6. Fashion Leopard Pattern Shawl Scarf – Or a leopard print shawl…
7. Eiffel Tower Pendant With Chain-Bronze – This little pendant reminds me of my one of my favorite places to travel to. If you’ve never been, put it on your list!
8. Equal Exchange Organic Hot Cocoa – I can’t live without this stuff during the winter months. The Girl and I go through it like crazy!
9. {2} Equal Exchange Organic Dark Chocolate Orange Bars – A little something for you to hide in your purse to satisfy that sweet tooth.
10. Equal Exchange French Roast Coffee – On the off chance the hot cocoa just isn’t doing the trick!
11. 1 dozen Wooden Berry Baskets – These cute baskets have a million uses: perfect for party favors or even a small neighbor gift.
12. Week by Week Vegetable Gardeners Handbook – A book of weekly to-do lists that break gardening down into easily manageable tasks? Of course I’m going to love it!
13. Botanical Interests Valentine Lettuce Seeds – More seeds. Tell me you’re not surprised! 😉
14. Bob’s Red Mill Vegi Soup Mix – If I’m in a hurry and don’t have time to make my own soup, Bob’s Red Mill to the rescue. Not as good as homemade of course, but you won’t see me complaining!
15. Set of 5 Flour Sack Towels – These are the most versatile towels ever. They are wonderful for drying dishes or simply covering rising bread. You’re gonna love them.
One lucky reader will win that whole kitten kaboodle! So how do you enter for your chance to win all these goodies? Just simply leave a comment below telling me which of my favorite things you’d be most excited about if you were the winner of all this loot!
Just answer that one question and you’re entered to win. Life’s pretty complicated sometimes, so I like to keep things simple around here.

All of the items would be very nice, but I have a fondness for “Feedsack Towels” I collect anything made out of feedsacks. I remember my Mother saving the feedsacks, washing them and making some of the most beautiful dresses for me and my Sister.

Because of the gems you find for Kindle each day I ended up snagging up a copy about homesteading for beginners. Wow It’s a very short version but I am really enjoying the idea and if I was the recipeint of all of the loot the first thing I would dive into would be the The Weekend Homesteader by Anna Hess- well that and the chocolate. It will help in my plan to eventually do minimal shopping other than bartering and living off of my significant other’s property. I’d be lying if I didn’t say I want the whole kitten caboodle! ;D My favorite thing would be not bright copper kettles or even warm woolen mittens, not brown paper packages tied up with strings, not cream colored ponies, yummy crisp apple strudels, neither doorbells and sleigh bells, not even schnitzel with noodles, not those wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings, or The Girl Who Thinks She’s a Bird in a white dress with blue satin sash, nor snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes or as much as I love silver white winters that melt into springs (soon!), these are not my favorite things. My favorite thing reminds me of my FOUR children and my FOUR grandchildren. It is the Little Painted Polka Dots’ FOUR Sweet Peas in a Pod Necklace and the initial tags. That would excite me the most, though I must say ALL of your favorite things (and Maria’s favorite things) would be on my list too.

Linden says
The Weekend Homesteader would be my first choice—I need some help organizing things. Then the pea necklace; I have an asparagus necklace that I wear a lot so this would give me some other vegetable to wear. Then the chocolate. Ordinarily the chocolate would come first, but the book is more expensive than the chocolate so I am siding with thrift. Thanks for the chance to win.

The Equal Exchange French Roast coffee! I have coffee ADD, some days I like hot coffee from my french press, some days from the ol’ trusty Mr. Coffee pot, some days it’s iced coffee that was cold brewed and some days it’s gonna take Cuban coffee to get the day going. I LOVE COFFEE 🙂 😉 🙂
Rosaleen says
My top wish from the list is the “Prepworks from Progressive Lettuce Keeper.” We buy heads of Romaine from the club stores in packs of 6. With three of us still in the house, I have to push salad to use it all up before it goes bad. This keeper may take off some pressure on that score. The gardeners handbook would also be great to help me plan growing some of our food. If my guys saw a workable plan, maybe I’d get some support for gardening. As it is, I can’t be sure that potted plants on the deck will be watered if I go away. The other items are great, but those are the two top ones for me.
Carolyn C says

I think either of the guide books (especially The Weekend Homesteader) would be most useful to receive. It’s hard to know and to stay on task on which seeds to plant at what time of the year when you’re so busy with work and other things that happen in life. A guide is definitely something that would help this 22 year old some organization in the garden while trying to balance culinary training and some R and R dirt digging.
Kelli says
I think the berry baskets are adorable. I would love to have them.
Jann says
Botanical Interests Valentine Lettuce Seeds. One of the reasons I enjoy gardening is to grow food that I can’t necessarily find at the grocery store, which usually means cool colored produce.
Mary says
Oh The Weekend Homesteader by Anna Hess would be my first choice. I am on 2nd time borrowing it from library and is on my book wish list. 2nd is Week by Week Vegetable Gardeners Handbook since O get to have a garden instead of just some container pots this year.3rd who can say no to anything chocolate. 4 berry baskets =D

We want to take our 4 kids to Paris for Christmas. I would love to wear those two necklaces together all year as a reminder/motivation. Yes, they would look weird together – but my family would totally get it!

My favorite has to be the pea in a pod necklace. I’m currently expecting my fourth child to arrive in just 6 weeks. I have a mother necklace with only three, as this little one was a bit of a surprise. So it would be wonderful to have a necklace to show all four of my children.
Tabitha says
I am definitely most excited about the Week by Week book. I just started gardening last year and with both me and my hubby working full time i have a hard time prioritizing what needs to be done in the garden. I have no concept of what needs to be done when and how long things take (ex: compost, germinating, when to mulch). The Weekend Homestead book is a close second. Self sufficiency has always been an ideal for me and after reading One Second After this week i am ready to gear up as much as possible. Of course the seeds follow shortly after. I know it’s a drawing but those peas look good enough to eat right off the plant 🙂
Staci N says
I love it all, but if I were limited to just one thing it would be the “Weekend Homesteader” book. Life is so busy with kids, work, and school. I would love to have some guidance on weekend projects, things I would love to get done or didn’t even know I wanted to.
