I just. can’t. stop. Giving away my favorite things to my favorite readers has become one of my new favorite pastimes. And you guys get to reap all the benefits of that with this epic “favorite things” giveaway. It’s a hodgepodge of my favorite things compiled into one super duper giveaway. 2. Moleskine Passion Garden Journal: I know not everyone has a handy dandy blog to record all of their gardening info. This journal is perfect for keeping track of planting, drawing out garden grids, or jotting down ideas and tips. It’s pretty and high quality too. Double bonus!

    Please, please, PLEASE, the Seed Sprouter! I’ve used an old MASON jar with a piece or screen cut to fit the canning lid for years, and it works, but I can only do a single batch, and it makes it hard to do a big variety of sprouts. Oh please, Mavis, MAKE MY DAY!!!!!!!!!!

    My fave would be: The mornings I would have incorporating many of these things together – like sliced-banana pancakes topped with a bit of chocolate cherry & almond chunks, while sipping Starbucks thru a paper party stray, listening to my steel rails cd reading my gardening book, taking notes in my journal, with soft badger balm hands, and watching the progress of my seed sprouts grow in the window of my breakfast nook – yay!

    I felt all giddy when I saw the seed sprouter. I’ve been wanting to try growing sprouts. Getting the most vegetables possible into my meals seems to be a must to keep my weight down. It can be done deliciously!

Hubby and i are trying so hard to get a more organic and healthier lifestyle now that i dont work, i have the time now to do the gardening in our small back yard, that i never had time for before, working 65 + hours a week! These would be lovely to have, either one!

    I’d like to say the sprouter because that would be the healthy responsible sounding choice (and it us my runner up), but the one I’d be the most excited about is the Sip Sip Hooray paper straws. I remember when I was a girl in school desperately trying to get my paper straw through the tiny half punched, half scraped out hole in my little carton chocolate milk without bending it in half. The next challenge was finishing my chocolate milk without collapsing the paper straw. :0)

    I’m thrilled that so many of your friends are choosing the Botanical Interests Seed Sprouter. Our sprouted seeds are DELICIOUS!! We discover ways to eat these nutritious delights at almost every meal. My choice will have to be the Badger Balm for Gardeners. I have two reasons for my choice. As a breast cancer survivor with problems with lymphedema in my arm, I have to make sure my cuticles are kept moist to resist hang-nails, leading to infection and a couple weeks of antibiotic therapy. My number one reason would be for my hubby. He works so hard in our garden year round, assisting me in any way I ask. He is such a dear and fights chapped hands from all the chores he does for us during these cold winter months. I have a feeling Badger Balm will be The Bomb! Thanks for your generosity, Mavis.

    I would love to have the garden journal! I’ve told myself every year at the end of the season for the last couple years that I would keep one. I’m always asking myself things like…how long did it take this or that to bloom? Did I have this problem last year? Did these darn japanese beetles hatch out this time last year? But every year I get so busy and get so caught up in the everyday gardening I just forget all about it. Since we moved to Oregon I have been almost 100% in using totes whenever we go shopping at the farmers’ market or even the grocery store, but as you said, using these instead of the little plastic bags is awesome!!!

    I would be excited about all of the products, but the one I’ve been wanting to try the most is the seed sprouter. I have been a little leary about trying to sprout, but have wanted too for awhile. The reusable produce bags, I think are also pretty cool. They would come in handy when harvesting and not being to able to freeze or can the produce right away. I know I’m a dork! Its the little things in life, right? Lol 🙂 The Year Round Vegetable Gardner, is interesting. I’ve been trying to grow herbs in doors this winter, but winters in Alaska just do not provide enough sun light. My hands get so chewed up working in the garden, gloves or no gloves, that I ALWAYS need skin-care help to keep them from turning into what feels like coarse grade sandpaper (with hangnails as a bonus!)

My chickens love the daily treats, but I slack off on sprouting more for my family because it becomes a pain. An actual sprouter would solve that issue and we’d be enjoying tofu, grilled onion, avocado, tomato, spinach, and sprout sandwiches on homemade buns!

And considering I have to little boys who could easily pass as monkey’s (and eat banana’s like they are monkey’s) I do believe the banana slicer would fit in perfectly in my kitchen! I can just imagine it sitting in my fruit bowl intimidating the heck outta all those banana’s in there!

    The gardening book. I tried a winter garden for the first time this year, and don’t have the timing right. I found it tricky to work out how to both arrange and clean up after the summer garden – and have large enough areas to plant the winter garden. Plus, in Portland, we had unexpected sub-20 degrees F weather in December…everything seems to have died except a turnip, some parsnips, the garlic, and the onions.

    The Year Round Vegetable Gardener….I have decided that this is the year that I get serious with my garden. I am great at livestock, and have a ton (probably literally more than that!) of manure for my raised beds. I am quite the brown thumb, so a calendar guideline would probably be very helpful to me. My kids said that they would help me, and a couple of them are awesome green thumbs, so maybe all together, with a guide, we might have a garden that produces enough to freeze and can for winter.

    I would be excited to feed my need for knowledge on gardening with a book about year round gardening. I have already gotten the basics of spring/summer but would love to have fresh veggies all year long. I don’t think my pear, peach, plum or apple trees will fruit for me year round though…

    This is such a hard choice to choose one of such exciting things!! I would be torn between the reusable produce bags, but think I would be the most excited about making sprouts Oh My and my sprout loving family lives near by!! Sprout pick up and delivery!!!

    Oh wow, the seed sprouter! Been meaning to purchase one and only remember that I want to at really inconvenient times haha. This would be fabulous! Sprouts for all! Sprouts on everything!

    I’m most excited about The Year Round Vegetable Gardener, we’re moving to a new (old) house that has a big sunny backyard that we plan to fill with vegetables. nomnomnom.

    Definitely the gardening journal……. would be better to keep track of the successes and failures of each crop. Also great to note ideas, keep pictures, drawings, and a list of websites for reference (I save in favorites, but then tend to forget why I save the link).

    No brainer! Chocolate 🙂 the chocolate cherries and almond bar win hands down. I’m a mom, grandmother and over 50. Any doubt that chocolate wins!
