Bacon Jalapeno Cheese Ball — Normally on Sunday’s I like to post an update on the progress I’ve made throughout the week with the goals I set for the year. But with just two days left to go, and a few of those goals still needing a little work, I’ve decided to wait until New Year’s Eve to wrap that baby up.
So instead of a goal post today, I’m sharing a recipe for a bacon jalapeno cheese ball the HH made yesterday. Now I’ve had a few cheese balls in my day, but this one takes the cake {or the cracker I should say}.
If you are looking for a new and delicious appetizer to try this New Years Eve or for your next football party, look no further. This is it. Bacon + cream cheese + a recipe you can make ahead of time? Yep, it’s a winner all around.

Bacon Jalapeno Cheese Ball Recipe
Ingredients
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
Pinch of cayenne {more if you like spice}
1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
3 jalapenos, seeded and diced
8 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled
Salt to taste
1/3 cup pecans, chopped and toasted
Instructions
In a small mixing bowl, combine first 8 ingredients and half of the jalapenos and half of the bacon. Roll into a ball and set aside.
Pour the remaining jalapenos and bacon onto a plate and mix well with the pecans. Roll cheese ball in the mixture until it is completely covered. Cover and chill for an hour before serving. Serve with crackers. Enjoy.

We decided Wheat Thins were the best ones to use with the cheese ball. 🙂

Can you please tell me how your husband got thru cleaning , seeding and chopping those 3 jalapenos without coughing, sneezing and crying? lol.
Every time I make jalapeno poppers I am a wreck!
Now I have to suffer thru a jalapeno cheese ball, but something tells me it will be worth it!
