If you are looking for the best Twice Baked Almond and Chocolate Croissant on the planet…. I know where to find it. Bakery Nouveau in Seattle, Washington. I could live there. Or work there. Or just sit and watch the eclectic crowd that walk in and out of the store all day.
The guys in the park across the street drinking their 12-pack of Coors beer… What the heck are they thinking? Beer? At 9 am on a weekday? HELLO…. pastries are about a million and fifty two times more delicious! Silly boys. The people walking their toy dogs in sweaters down the city streets? I want to yell HEY…. GET IN HERE… this stuff is FREAKIN’ DELICIOUS!!!
If Bakery Nouveau comes up with some sort of scented lotion… or better yet a lip balm I would totally be their first customer. If I was a city slicker I would work longer hours just so I could earn enough money to eat there three times a day. Seriously. I’d totally do that. Their food, it’s worth every penny!
We spent $13 on 3 pastries and would totally do it again in a heartbeat.

P.S. This is the best New Year’s Goal ever!

Hi Mavis,
So glad you finally got to try Bakery Nouveau! I LOVE the twice baked almond croissant and your post is making me crave it. Next time you’re in Seattle, try Essential Bread in Wallingford, you won’t be disappointed 🙂

The West Seattle one is about 1-1/2 miles from the house we lived in when I was born. Oh, if only my parents had not sold it and moved to the boonies (Sammamish) when I was little. 😉 My husband works nearby so I’m thinking he needs to bring me something sweet from there for Valentine’s Day! That chocolate mocha cheesecake in the 5th picture is calling my name.

That croissant is making me contemplate a trip to Seattle.

You know, I walked past the downtown one a couple weeks ago and thought of your goal. Haven’t tried it but looks good.

Went to the west Seattle location this week because of seeing this post – couldn’t resist since we were in the neighborhood! My husband tried one of their sandwiches and the chocolate mocha cheesecake – both were delicious – I went for a plain butter croissant but was very tempted by the almond chocolate one – the butter croissant was flaky deliciousness in every bite
