bits and bobs: A random assortment of things; small remaining pieces and things
My sunrise walks on the beach with Lucy are getting later these days… I think at the height of summer we’d be there around 5:30 in the morning, and now it’s closer to 6:15.
People are leaving few things behind these days as the crowds are thinning out and we’re seeing more and more of the locals out for their morning walks instead of tourists. My guess is that after this weekend, they’ll pretty much all be gone.
Here are a few things I spotted that were left at the beach over the past week:
Wishing you all the best on this lovely late summer morning, have a great weekend. 🙂

It’s a shame people can’t clean up after themselves.

I just bought my son that same Pottery Barn Kids blue dino backpack. It cost me a pretty penny….if only I had a beach nearby to hunt for treasures.

Wow so much stuff left behind! That’s crazy. Those sunglasses are cute- I totally would have snagged them, cleaned them off really well and wear them. Well, if they were in good condition and not scratched up. 🙂

I’ve heard that plastic beach toys comprise the greatest amount of ocean debris. Perhaps signage about the ocean gyres would prompt people to clean up after themselves.

Aaaah, those wee jelly shoes! My daughter had a gold-flecked pair and a white cotton pinafore dress, and was the sweetest toddler around…good memories.

Not to get too serious here, but it upsets me to see how little regard we have for the things we spend money on. Mavis, your photos make a bigger statement about our society and how spoiled we have become!!
