Are the kids all amped up with holiday excitement? If so, want to feed that excitement and live vicariously through it? Me too. These Santa binoculars do just that. They give the kids a little make-believe prop to spend their holiday break scoping out the Santa situation. They go together in a snap too, which means you don’t have to have a huge chunk of time to make some Christmas memories.
You’ll need:
- 2 rolls of toilet paper
- Red felt
- White “fur”
- Glue gun and glue
- Yarn
- Black and gold washi tape
Directions:
Cut the red felt so that it is the same length as the toilet paper roll and so that it is wide enough to wrap around it completely. Glue it down onto the t.p. roll using the glue gun. Cut a 1″ strip of white fur {long enough to go around the t.p. roll completely}. Glue the fur to one end of the toilet paper roll. Repeat the entire process on the other toilet paper roll.
Once both rolls are covered, glue them together in the center. Cut a piece of yarn for the strap and glue one end to each end of the toilet paper roll {the opposite end of the toilet paper roll than the fur}.
Wrap the black washi tape around the toilet paper roll just above the fur. Cut a “belt buckle” shape out of the gold washi tape and stick it, centered, on top of the black washi tape.
Now send the kids out to comb the neighborhood for signs of Santa.
**I have posted these before, but wanted to post another how-to for my new readers.

Ah-Freakin-Dorable! I’m thinking you could take it to the next level by taping a picture of a sleigh and eight tiny reindeer over the ends!
