After meeting up with The Kiln Guy and The Chef for lunch last week at Bet’s Fish Fry, we decided to check out Broad Arrow Farm Market in nearby Bristol for a look around.
The Broad Arrow Farm Market is an on-farm specialty food market offering pasture-raised, organic-fed meats and charcuterie, chef-prepared meals.
They also offer Maine artisanal breads, Maine cheeses, free-range eggs, local produce and all the ingredients you’d need for breakfast, lunch, supper and appetizers/snacks.
Broad Arrow Farm runs a year-round, farrow-to-finish pig operation with heritage breeds pigs (Large Black, GOS, Hereford, Duroc, Berkshire as well as the charcuterie pig; Mangalitsa) that thrive on forage.
I don’t know about you, but I LOVE a good farm shop.
And here in Maine, they are everywhere!
While I was busy checking out all the dried goods the farm shop offered, The Kiln Guy was over at the meat counter chatting it up and having some salami cut.
And it was fantastic!
Not only did he go home with sliced meat, but some spiced cashews, local cheese and a salami for later.
Broad Arrow Farm Market in Bristol, Maine… It’s another winner in my book.
We’re already looking forward to our next visit!
Maine. The way life should be.
Have a good one,

$48.00/lb on the deli sliced salami. Wowza! Must be a real treat.

Yeah, and I’m down here convincing myself the $9 Hillshire Farms 22 oz mega pack is doable on my budget

We LOVE Broad Arrow! They also have great on-site events including “Supper on the Farm,” which we’ve really enjoyed.

It looks glorious I’m surprised they can all keep going. So many farm shops have either joined forces here or closed because deli prices are beyond the budget. It became a treat to buy better produced food, now for most it’s completely unaffordable so the supermarkets win sadly.
