Can Shopping at Costco Save You Money? Week 14 of 52

Confession time. I didn’t go to Costco last week. Why? Because I found a very last minute deal to the east coast and hopped on a flight.  I squeezed all sorts of fun into just a few short days and let me tell you Bob, it was JUST WHAT I NEEDED.

I drove by RFK’s old place, Hickory Hill. I wanted to badly to go knock on the door and ask to take a look around. But that would have been weird… and stalkerish.

I also drooled at all the beautiful {and massive} homes in the neighborhood.

I drove to our vacation home and planted all sorts of vegetables in my garden. You know the one, the one without rules and an snoopervising committee. Ya, that one.

I planted peas, potatoes, beets, chard, raspberry and strawberries and even some onions.

I pulled weeds.

I baked the best ever carrot cake bars {I’ll post the recipe later this week} and even laid out in the sun a little bit. {I’ll spare you the pictures on that one}.

I also found some sweet deals on used furniture at the local thrift store. The chairs we like new and the tables, well I’ll refinish those the next time I’m out.

It was a ridiculously productive weekend that’s for sure!
