Can Shopping at Costco Save You Money? Week 17 of 52

Let me explain. 😉

The next few weeks are going to be nuts. I’ll be on the East Coast to plant my garden, the HH has a business trip, The Girl is coming home from college, the backyard fence will be installed, we will be building garden boxes, I have a few TV appearances lined up, and the list continues…. The last thing I wanted to do was have to worry about buying groceries. I figured if I just stocked up know on things I know we need, I won’t have to give groceries a second thought.

I know I’ll have to pop into Costco for another 2 gallons of milk at some point, but I’ll include that on one of my daily walks so I won’t be able to carry anything else in my backpack but the milk.

I cannot tell you how excited I am for this summer. But mostly, I can’t wait to get those garden boxes installed and growing homegrown goodness again.

My daughter is probably the thriftiest cook on the planet. She is amazing at using what we have on hand {and even more so after having to live on an incredibly tight budget while away at school}. I may just put her in charge of dinners for this summer. We’ll see.

Zaycon Weenies – Free with credit

For the record, I don’t even like giant hot dogs. The Girl and I both like those small turkey dogs Jenni-O makes. I picked the Zaycon weenies for the boys because I know how much they love getting the ones from Costco from time to time.

I still can’t believe I fell off the wagon.  And yes, I blame it on those stupid weenies. Yes I could of borrowed some ketchup and brown mustard from a neighbor {and my husband probably would have passed out} but didn’t. I wanted enough to last through the summer grilling season until I can make my own homemade ketchup and brown mustard.

So yes I fell off the Costco wagon, but no worries, I’m hopping back on. 😉
