Our house is a total mess right now. It’s a mix of home improvement and craft projects in just about every single room. This is us. This is Christmas in 2020. It’s chaotic and confusing and amusing all rolled into one. And you know what? I’m just glad to be along for the ride.
So whether you’re spending your Christmas alone, with family or online this year, I’m wishing you all the best.

Love love love your tile choice! That will look great with your wood floors.
Your tile is almost identical to what we out in our home. I love not having any carpet in this house. Best decision ever.

I can’t wait to lose the carpet in our house. It’s not something I want to tackle until things calm down a bit, but I also don’t know what to pick instead. I think my top choice right now is wood laminate, but we have actual hardwood on our main floor, so it would need to match that, or we’d need to keep carpet on our stairs.

We just put in “luxury vinyl plank” a new-ish product that is waterproof, and has lots of stain choices. We have hardware throughout the rest of the house and the LVP is just beautiful, and easy care. The best part for us was that it could be installed above or below grade. Three months in and I love it!

Two years ago we were encouraged to purchase LVP too. However I still do not understand how this product can be waterproof. The planks themselves I understand, but when a liquid is spilled on top of the vinyl it has to go somewhere (if not mopped up right away) and it seems like it settles between the planks and produces undesirables UNDER the plank potentially leaking into the sub flooring or concrete creating mold. Our salesperson tried to diminish my questions and emphasized that if one tile becomes damaged its just a simple “release and replace” with another tile. This response did not satisfy my curiosity so we passed but I’ still searching for an explanation.

Ahh…you described my house to a T! If a room isn’t getting painted, retiled, etc, it’s being used for storage. 4 people, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom at the moment, but I love it!
