Quote of the Day “I am old, Gandalf. I don’t look it, but I am beginning to feel it in my heart of hearts. Well-preserved indeed! Why, I feel all thin, sort of stretched, if you know what I mean: like butter that has been scraped over too much bread. That can’t be right. I need a change, or something.” ~ J.R.R. Tolkien
Tell me, which forecast would you choose? Temperatures above freezing and rain 7 out of 9 days or colder temps but 5 days of sunshine, 1 day with snow and just one day of rain? Curious minds want to know.
Tuesday, it’s here. Let’s make it a good one. 😉
♥ Mavis

The rainy and warmer! I live where it is cold and I hate the cold.
Linda says
Seven days of rain is way too depressing for me Mavis. I’ll take the cold, snow and sun any day. It was 14 here at 4:30 a.m. today, with a light snow and absolutely no wind. It was so calm and peaceful. I love the winter months and will take them any time over 95 with high humidity. It’s only because my garden loves the heat that I spend time outside in the summer working there. Otherwise, I’d be inside staying cool.
Trava Olivier says
Colder and sunny! I live in Minnesota where we’ve had sub zero temps and dangerous windchills for the past several days….lower 30’s is a heat wave in my book and the sun is good for my soul!
SusieQ says
The rain always!!
Margie Hudgins says
I agree with you SusieQ. I’ve always loved the rain, and cloudy, gloomy days. I loved walking in the rain when I was younger; just seemed to clear my mind and make me feel so calm. It felt like everything was right with the world, as though it was being washed clean of all the hard stuff & getting everything ready to start over again.
Lilypad says
I’m a Seattle native, so I also love rain and gray. Just yesterday I was walking back from Trader Joe’s and it started to rain—I didn’t have a hood or hat or umbrella, but I didn’t care. I get twitchy in summer when it’s hot and dry!
Deb says
I would choose warm and rainy. I live in western SD. A great place but too cold in the winter and too dry overall.
Libby says
And don’t forget the sunrise difference! 7:12 versus 7:52!
Sun and cold any day 🙂
NCJill says
Just got my power bill today….$691!!! So I would definitely go for warm and rainy over COLD although both really stink in my book.
Mavis Butterfield says
NO WAY!!! What state do you live in. That.Is.Nuts.
NCJill says
North Carolina, hence NC-Jill
Lolli says

Sandy says
Warm and rainy. I love the PNW. I moved originally from Chicago area and if I never have to feel snow and cold again it would be OK with me. Bring on the rain and clouds!
Carolina says
Well, Mavis, we know which one you are about to choose—or have already chosen!!! Here in NH, last weekend we were in shirt sleeves and today, another snowstorm!!! It is beautiful, as long as you don’t have to drive in it.
