I don’t know about you, but I sure wish I could fast forward to canning season. I’m starting to get the itch and I’m not sure how much longer I can hold out. So if you suddenly see a bunch of canning recipes here on the blog…. you’ll know I couldn’t take it anymore and had to break out the canning equipment a little early. 😉
Here are a few suggestions for breakfast, lunch and dinner this week:
3 Breakfast Ideas
Chocolate Crepes with Bananas – If you are looking to blow the family’s mind this weekend, I suggest whipping up some of these crepes. They are delish. {Pin it for Later}
Peanut Butter Banana Bread – Quick breads make the best breakfasts ever. All you need for this one is a couple of over-ripe bananas and yogurt, the rest, you’ll likely have in the pantry. {Pin it for Later}
Apple Strudel Muffins – Muffins are basically just quick bread in bite-sized form. These are always a hit around our house. {Pin it for Later}
4 Lunch Ideas and Dinner Ideas
Whole Wheat Flour Tortillas – Homemade tortillas are awesome, and you pretty much always have what you need on hand. Make a big ol’ batch, and you can use them from wraps, enchiladas, quesadillas…the possibilities are endless. {Pin it for Later}
BBQ Chicken Wrap – These make for a very gourmet lunch, or a quick on the go dinner. Now that spring sports are starting, you can make these when you have time and then have the kids grab one out of the fridge before practice. Best of all, since I am sure you made the above listed tortillas ;), you can feel good about the minimal ingredients. {Pin it for Later}
Crockpot Shredded BBQ Chicken – You can make this for dinner one night, and use the leftovers to make the tasty wraps listed above. See a pattern forming? {Pin it for Later}
Crock Pot Baked Potatoes – I love using the crock pot to make baked potatoes. Even more, I love having baked potato night. It’s a great way to use up left-overs {taco meat, crockpot shredded bbq chicken, etc.}. Plus, I pretty much love anything with melted cheese. {Pin it for Later}
3 Sweet Treats
Pineapple Buttermilk Pie – If you are looking for something different for dessert than your standard fare, give this pie a whirl. It’s sweet and delicious, but combines flavors that are a little different than your standard apple pie, chocolate cake, or cookie. {Pin it for Later}
Cinnamon Walnut Cookies – These cookies are moist, nutty and rolled in powdered sugar…what more could anyone ask for. {Pin it for Later}
Nutella Cookies – I love Nutella. I love cookies. Enough said. {Pin it for Later}
Featured Freezer Meal Recipe
Chicken and Spinach Stuffed Manicotti – This is a great time to stockpile your freezer meal supply, so that as the warm weather comes, you can spend more of your days soaking up vitamin D, and less tied to the kitchen. {Pin it for Later}
Featured Canning Recipe
Pickled Corn Relish – This isn’t really a suggestion to make this week, so much as an idea of something you may want to can this summer. I thought I would showcase it now, in case you are planning your garden around what you want to put up. {Pin it for Later}
What are YOU planning on making this week?

I canned 8 oz. jars of corn relish summer before last and discovered that if you mix one with a drained can of beans (I like black beans, but any variety would do) you have made a yummy, instant salad!
