Is it just me, or is baking {and cooking in general for that matter} about 10 million times more fun when the weather cools down and fall is in the air? With the temps in the upper 60’s this week my goal is to get a bunch of baking done and try out a few new soup recipes. I am SO READY for fall.
Bring it on!
Raisin Bran Muffins – These are much better than a bowl of raisin bran cereal, and the recipe doesn’t call for a ton of sugar. Oh, and they freeze really well, so make a double batch. {Pin it for Later}
DIY Fruit and Yogurt Smoothie Bags – No that school has started for most kids, these pre-made smoothie cubes are perfect for the quick pace of “get out the door” mode. {Pin it for Later}
Peanut Butter Banana Oatmeal – Peanut butter and bananas have to be one of the most amazing combinations ever. {Pin it for Later}
4 Lunch Ideas and Dinner Ideas
Easy Corn and Tomato Quiche – I love having a quiche in the fridge for a quick lunch. They travel well, so the HH is a pretty big fan of me packing them in his lunch too. {Pin it for Later}
Easy Cheesy Zucchini Rice – This rice is freakin’ awesome. It tastes like Rice-a-Roni, but without the unpronounceable garbage listed in the ingredients. As an added bonus, it’s a great way to use up some of that garden zucchini. {Pin it for Later}
Savory Biscuits with Sun Dried Tomatoes and Herbs – These taste uh-mazing with pretty much anything…along side a soup, with BBQ chicken, you name it. If you have an abundance of tomatoes, try drying your own. {Pin it for Later}
Greek Salad Wrap with Feta Cheese – I LOVE me a good wrap. Since we don’t do Greek food that often, this wrap always takes me back with its awesome flavor combination. {Pin it for Later}
Homemade Raspberry Applesauce – If your fall crop of raspberries are on, make sure to make a batch of this applesauce. It tastes so good warm, you’ll want a big bowl for dessert. If you want to get crazy, put a dollop of whip cream on it. {Pin it for Later}
Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream – School may be back in, but the days are still warm enough to enjoy a nightly bowl of ice cream. {Pin it for Later}
Kale Brownies – Just a spoonful of sugar helps the kale go down, the kale go down, the kale go down. {Pin it for Later}
Featured Freezer Meal Recipe
Pineapple Teriyaki Chicken – With Monkey Boy working full time and The Girl back at school, the crock pot is going to get a lot of use. The boys can just swing in and grab a plate when their schedule allows and I don’t have to worry about having dinner on at a certain time. {Pin it for Later}
Apple Pie Jam – I don’t know about you, but I have found some killer deals on apples lately. I guess it’s time to start canning everything apple. {Pin it for Later}
What are YOU planning on making this week?
