I don’t know what it was like when you were growing up, but at my Grandmother’s house, dinner wouldn’t be complete without a large bowl of jello salad on the table. And this cranberry pineapple jello salad was one of her favorites.
While this cranberry pineapple jello salad can be served anytime of year, it usually seemed to make its appearance around the holidays. It was always a toss up between this cranberry jello salad or her cherry cola jello salad on the table. Grandma, she kept us guessing. 😉
Perfect alongside a slice of turkey or as a side dish for your holiday ham, there’s always room for jello salad! 😉
We’ve been making this recipe for years, I hope you love this recipe as much as we do.
Jello is cool.

I love those jello salads. Mom used to make an orange one with a cooked pineapple juice topping and cheddar cheese on top. Delicious. My family never learned to like them so if I make yhemy I have to eat it all or it gets thrown out. So I don’t make them anymore.

We loved Jello salads. Or, I should say we loved the one Jello salad that always appeared at any holiday. I have never heard of cranberry sauce in a Jello salad, though. I might try this. Practical Parsimony

I heading into the kitchen right now to make a strawberry pretzel salad for my girls for their birthday dinner tomorrow! I never had jello “salads” growing up in New Orleans. But here in north Georgia they are at every gathering and we adapted to them very well! Your grandmother’s recipe sounds delicious! I’ll have to give it a try soon! Thanks for sharing!

As a Texan, jello salads are like condiments! lol I grew up with the green jello salad, you know the one with cream cheese and pecans? Now? No thanks. I have been making this whole berry cranberry/raspberry jello/pineapple/chopped apple salad for YEARS. It is a staple and everyone love it!
