If you love apples, make this recipe. If you love cloves, make this recipe. And if you love apple cider, definitely make this Crockpot apple cider recipe. Even if you don’t like apple cider, make this recipe anyway because your house will smell so freakin fantastic it will be totally worth it!
Move over scented candles, there’s a new way to make your house smell downright edible. And unlike wax, you can can totally drink the end result! Plus, you can store the leftovers in the fridge to enjoy another cool, crisp and breezy day.
I don’t know about you, but I think hot apple cider just screams fall, so there’s no better way to kick off the season than a nice big crock pot full of the stuff!

PrintCrockpot Hot Apple Cider Recipe
Ingredients
1 gallon apple juice
1 large orange
2 cups dehydrated apples {here’s my recipe}
3 cinnamon sticks {buy them in the bulk foods section}
2 star anise
2 tablespoons allspice berries
1 tablespoon dried orange peel
1 tablespoon whole cloves
Instructions
Thinly slice orange into circle slices. Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker.
Cook on low for about 4 hours. Stir and then ladle into glasses.
Place a cinnamon stick in each glass for a more festive look.!

I’ve made plenty of cider in a crock pot but what I liked best was making it in an old 20-cup percolator. I put the seasonings in the basket and let the cider perk though it. So easy to serve!
