If you live {or have visited Maine} have you ever been to the town of Damariscotta? Well, it’s one of my favorite walking downtowns here in Mid-Coast Maine and last week we happened upon the Damariscotta Pumpkinfest.
Well technically we missed the parade and the pumpkinfest regatta, but we did get to see all the giant pumpkins on display downtown.
Pretty much everywhere we looked there were giant pumpkins decorated and out on display. It was so cool, I had to snap some pictures to share.
Just when I thought the tourist season was over and shop owners were getting ready to hunker down for winter… Silly me. Maybe I should pay more attention.
Pretty bird, pretty bird. Can you say pretty bird? {What movie is that from!?} 🙂
Now how clever was this pumpkin? Spray foam insulation as whipped cream. Genius!
This one reminded me of one of the characters from the Muppets. Did you watch The Muppets when you were a kid? Wasn’t that show the greatest?
A hot air balloon. Very clever.
And this pig and chicken was fun too.
But my favorite pumpkin on display was this Oktoberfest guy outside of The Kingfisher and The Queen {I love that shop by the way}. I thought he was very unique and perfect for this time of year.

My son recently moved to Waterville, Maine and we drove from up Texas to see him. I absolutely loved it! Beautiful! We never got farther than Augusta and Bar Harbor, but I will definitely put Damariscotta, Maine on my list for next time!
