Yesterday on our way to the airport we stopped off at Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm Shop in Chadlington.
Jeremy Clarkson, a former presenter on the wildly popular car show Top Gear opened his Diddly Squat Farm Shop in 2020 after he had accidentally produced 40 tons of potatoes on his farm in Chadlington.
The Girl is a HUGE Jeremy Clarkson fan so of course, we had to stop by and check it out.
Since opening his farm shop in 2020, Jeremy has added other local products; meats, cheeses, bee, apple and cow juice along with bread from a local bakery and a few not so local {t-shirts} to his farm shop.
If you’ve seen his new series Clarkson’s Farm, then you know all about this place. The crowded car park, the struggle with the local council about what can {and can’t} be offered in his shop.
Anyway, it was fun to pop by and see what all the excitement was all about. Luckily, we got there just after the shop opened up so we didn’t have to wait in line {during the summer there were lines up to 2 hours long to get in!}.
Scotch eggs perhaps? I wasn’t sure.
The Girl ended up buying a Diddly Squat T-shirt for £20. Or rather, she bought a potato.
Technically the farm shop is only allowed to sell items either produced on the farm or items made within a 16 mile radius of the shop. So the offer was really buy a potato for £20 and get a free t-shirt.
Whatever. The whole thing made us laugh.
Diddly Squat Farm Shop. If you’re a fan of Jeremy Clarkson or his tv shows… You won’t want to miss it. 😉
Hey, It’s the weekend, I hope you have a good one.

I was just reading about this place yesterday! It was an article about this shop being told to shut down their dining areas. I wonder if he will win the appeal. Here’s the article:

We were just talking about his farm today and about future plans to visit. His book just arrived and that is next on my reading list.

Oh how I would love to do a trip like this with my grown kiddos. They are far more traveled then their momma. Do you know how long I looked for a tea kettle like yours last night? Enjoy your trip and your travels with your daughter. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I was there last week of June, the day before David Jason, and the car park was empty. Bought some of his legendary cow juice and tried to buy a T-Shirt but they didn’t have the right size in stock. It definitely worth the drive up from Exeter. Keep up the good work Jez.
