Need a quick and almost brainless Halloween decoration? I totally have the solution for you. These Mason Jar Mummies take about 2 minutes {that’s exaggerating a bit} and you literally could not mess them up if you were in a semi-comatosed state. Low input for super cute output. That NEVER happens, so embrace this one people.
You’ll Need:
Tea light candles
Mason Jars
A roll of gauze
Googly Eyes
Glue
Wrap the gauze around the mason jar. There’s not a science to it, just throw it on there kinda haphazardly. Glue down the outside edge if necessary to get it to stay put.
Glue on some googly eyes–they don’t even need to be straight. Pop a tea light in the bottom of the mason jar, light it. And, boom, people will be all like, “Did you make those? Those are darling!” and you can humbly reply, “Yes. Yes I did.”
Happy Halloween!

You’re wonderful!
We did our big move on Friday – still have some stuff left at the old place, but we have time to go through that later. At any rate, it took four movers 8 hours to move our stuff out and in – we had to use movers because we are creaky, our friends are just as creaky, and some of our stuff weighed a ton.
So, here I am on 40 acres with four dogs and one HH. Yesterday I drove to civilization and stocked up on convenience foods, too, because I can’t find my pans, I forgot stuff at the old place, and I’m just pooped. Plus, the kitchen is very poorly designed with almost no cupboard space and the top cabinets are at a height for an NBA player. We will probably do a complete kitchen remodel in about a year, but we need time to settle in now and move in an elderly relative. Oh, did I forget to mention that? Heh, heh.
You’re an inspiration, Mavis. I love how your just embrace life and live whatever stage you’re in to the fullest!

Ah, heck, I commented in the wrong spot. These are very cute!

Good to know we aren’t the only creaky ones going for a large piece of property. Moving all our stuff has DH rather intimidated.

Sharon, we’ve had luck in the past finding people via Craigslist. This move was just too big, so we went with movers we found on Angie’s List. Our backs and knees were worth it!

Thanks so much – I think with 50 plus years of treasures, we’ll have to have the moving vans. I am willing to pack, but like you, my back is more important.

We are in this together! Only I don’t have the 40 acres. 🙂 🙂 🙂 Best wishes on your new place Madam Chow.
