Well, we are in the thick of summer now. The kids have been out of school long enough that you are probably starting to hear, “I’m bored” way more often than you’d like. Instead of spending the time searching for year-round schools, try out this easy homemade bubble mix.
It’s so easy, the kids can help you make it–and it makes awesome strong bubbles that will hopefully keep them busy for hours. *Fingers crossed. 😉
My kids used to make this homemade bubble mix all the time with their friends when they were younger. Plus, as an added bonus, it’s crazy cheap to make, which is a big win in my book.
Especially if all the neighborhood kids seem to congregate at your place.
Ingredients
- 1 part dishwashing soap
- 8 parts water
- 1/4 part corn syrup or glycerin
Directions
Mix all of the ingredients together and pour into an empty bubble container {pie tin, bucket, anything will do}. For a little extra oomph, have the kiddos use less orthodox things to make bubbles, i.e. fly swatters, hula hoops, plastic 6-pack holders from soda, etc.
Homemade bubble mix. It’s that easy!!
Now go make some memories,

The bubbles with Karo does work well! The kids at our bible school put the solution in a kiddie pool and the kids made a bubble around themselves. It was fun!
